Enerfuel Liquid is a new generation food supplement, which takes the value of supplementation to a new level to promote intense and prolonged performance, in the form of a practical bottle ready to use and to quickly enter into action.
Enerfuel Liquid was born from the constant study and research of the work of the R&D department of Alphazer, which makes use of the precious support of many athletes who, with continuous monitoring and feedbacks, can directly create products that meet their main needs in the seek ever higher performance. This starts from the management of blood sugar to obtain greater energy stability and lucidity, further favored by the energy boost given by caffeine. The combination of these components also promotes better oxygenation to the engaged muscles, a rapid removal of lactic acid but without ceasing to support hydration, an extremely important factor in maintaining performance as constant as possible.
Enerfuel Liquid makes use of a series of nutrients of the highest quality level and new generation active elements without equal on the market, such as: Isomaltulose Palatinose, Cyclodextrin Cluster Dextrin®, L-Citrulline, Beta-Alanine, Taurine, Freeze-dried coconut water , Caffeine, Watt'sUp®, Pycnogenol, and Glycerol. Let's see their features in detail.
The Cyclodextrins (Cluster Dextrin) are now the most innovative form of carbohydrates to be taken before/during/after performance. This very advanced form of carbohydrate, which has brought about a real revolution in the field of sports supplementation, is made up of particular glucose polymers, obtained from the reaction between amylopectin and a specific enzyme. This allows the formation of glucose polymers with a very particular cyclic structure, with exceptional characteristics of use and an average molecular weight of 160,000 Daltons. Furthermore, these polymers appear to have a very low osmolarity, which favors a very rapid gastric emptying and an equally rapid intestinal absorption. The energy will then be released gradually, so as to provide “ready to use” energy. Post-workout, cyclodextrins are used to optimize muscle glycogen recovery and stimulate the uptake of amino acids by the muscle (so as to indirectly improve protein synthesis as well).
Thanks to the listed characteristics, Cyclodextrins are the most soluble and rapidly absorbable form of new generation carbohydrate, compared to any other source (such as maltodextrin and glucose/dextrose). They also have a further advantage: long-lasting energy support, which will be constantly promoted over time, without incurring glycemic spikes and "crashes" and without excessively raising insulin levels. These problems, together with the limits given by gastrointestinal disorders, have in the past often limited the use of carbohydrates during training.
Isomaltulose (Palatinose) is a carbohydrate, a disaccharide formed from glucose and fructose. In nature it is present, albeit in rather low concentrations, in honey and cane sugar syrup. Its production takes place through modern enzymatic conversion techniques starting from sucrose and, like sucrose, it is totally digested in the intestine. A peculiar structural feature is that the bonds of the molecules that form isomaltulose (alpha(a)-1,6-glycosidic) are more stable than those of the molecules present in sucrose. For this reason this disaccharide is highly appreciated by athletes who want to maintain optimal performance: blood sugar and insulin levels increase much less than when other sugars are consumed. The particular bond existing between its two components (fructose and glucose) is in fact such as to slow down the speed of absorption. Subsequently our intestinal disaccharidases, enzymes capable of breaking the bond between the two sugars, will favor the absorption and bioavailability of the individual compounds. However, this process takes place much more slowly than what happens for other better known sugars (such as sucrose). As a result, the glycemia and insulin levels will rise significantly less and without fluctuations, thus widening the temporal extension of the glycemia curve. This makes isomaltulose a slow-release energy source, capable of supporting the body during prolonged and sustained intensity training sessions, without incurring performance drops due to hypoglycemia or influenced and compromised by annoying gastrointestinal disorders (frequent with use of other simple sugars). The effects of this disaccharide are confirmed both by scientific literature and directly by athletes in the field.
The L-Citrulline is a non-essential amino acid, which takes its name from the fruit in which the first time this substance was isolated (watermelon, in Latin "citrullus"). It performs important functions in the body, as a key intermediate in the urea cycle, where superfluous amino groups are removed. The urea cycle is a cycle of biochemical reactions which produces urea from ammonia, a "toxic" substance for the body. The accumulation of which also hinders the formation of muscle glycogen and favors the onset of tiredness. The production of urea, enhanced by the introduction of Citrulline, is therefore essential for the elimination of these waste substances, which can affect the performance of athletes. Citrulline is also known for its stimulating action on vasodilation, as it is converted into L-arginine, thus obtaining a massive production of nitric oxide (NO). NO is a powerful molecule, which dilates blood vessels to allow muscles to receive more oxygen and nutrients, while also removing metabolic waste. Citrulline is also known for its antioxidant effects, and from recent experimental studies, also for its anabolic and anti-catabolic activities.
The Beta-Alanine is a non-essential amino acid, well known in the sporting environment for its effectiveness and credibility, supported by an excellent confirmation given by numerous scientific studies. β-alanine, once taken, is combined with L-histidine to synthesize Carnosine, a dipeptide which is the real protagonist of the "buffer" effect on lactate. Beta Alanine supplementation has been shown to elevate the levels of this molecule in the muscles by 80%, where it will act as a neutralizing agent against hydrogen ions. In practical terms, it will reduce the accumulation of annoying lactic acid in the muscles, significantly reducing muscle fatigue as well. Beta-Alanine is also an excellent antioxidant, useful against the formation of free radicals produced by exercise. The integration of this amino acid leads to increases in performance in terms of strength, and is recommended not only for workouts aimed at body building or power sports, but also in sports with sprints or intensity changes (such as cycling, athletics, crossfit or triathlon). Its supplementation for this type of sport allows for greater performance in terms of performance, proving to be a powerful support for curbing fatigue and disposing of lactic acid. Furthermore, the integration of Beta-Alanine was also useful in preventing muscle decline (sarcopenia) in elderly subjects.
The Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid, known in sports supplementation as it promotes damage reduction oxidative action induced by intense physical exercise. It promotes better peripheral oxygenation, as well as counteracting the accumulation of lactic acid, helping to maintain more efficient muscle contractility, even during intense physical exercise. Its action intervenes in neurotransmission, membrane stabilization and neurological development, delaying the onset of central fatigue and muscle tiredness. Taurine also plays a fundamental role in the synthesis of bile acids, it is important for vision and eye health.
Coconut waterhas proven to be an excellent ally for the hydrogen-saline replenishment of sportsmen and for its excellent thirst-quenching property, containing a high concentration of highly bioavailable mineral salts. In particular, in its composition we find potassium in high quantities (600 mg per litre, double that contained in a banana), but also magnesium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus, manganese, zinc and iron. It is a food of great value, fat-free, cholesterol-free and with very little sugar.
The Caffeine is the natural ergogenic substance historically most used in sports, as it contributes to the increase of resistance to fatigue and in improving performance, increasing fatigue tolerance and pain threshold and also improving concentration. It is a psychostimulant substance capable of improving performance by favoring the use of fats as fuel, saving carbohydrate reserves. It influences many biological reactions and, although its effects on the organism are numerous, most of them are due to its stimulating effects. A caffeine intake level of up to 400mg per day does not pose safety problems in adults but rather has a positive effect on the performance of most athletes.
Watt'sUp® is a bioflavonoid derived from sweet orange in hesperidin. It is used for its properties in all types of sporting activity, from strength sports to endurance sports, thanks to its ability to make the action of the mitochondria, our cellular "energy plant", more efficient. By generating more ATP at constant oxygen levels, this translates into increased energy, aerobic endurance and anaerobic power. Furthermore, it improves tissue oxygenation, has antioxidant and antiphlogistic effects.
The Pycnogenol® is a patent composed of a mixture of antioxidant substances mainly extracted from maritime pine bark French. It represents one of the most powerful antioxidant complexes in nature, as well as having a number of beneficial properties for various other aspects of health. In the field of sports performance, it is used not only as a very powerful antioxidant against free radicals produced by exercise, but also to improve resistance to fatigue, making a marked improvement in vascular microcirculation, capillary resistance and oxygenation of peripheral tissues.
The Glycerol, or Glycerine, is a chemical compound made up of two primary alcohol groups and one secondary alcohol, and is known in sports as a hyper-hydrating agent with osmotic properties. It is used to prevent and reduce states of dehydration with negative consequences on performance (but also on the athlete's entire health). It is particularly known by cyclists, marathon runners or athletes who have to face long-lasting races and/or in adverse weather conditions, where it is easy to get dehydrated. Glycerol acts on many fronts and when taken orally, it moves rapidly through body fluids before being metabolised, and increases osmotic pressure and total body water volume via the process of "osmosis". This happens because water is able to diffuse across body membranes in response to changes in osmotic pressure. These changes are often caused by an imbalance between the molecules on either side of the membrane in question (in humans most commonly salt and water), and the body is fine-tuned to maintain intracellular osmotic pressure. Cells adjust their volume to account for external pressure shifts. In raising the osmotic pressure inside the body fluids, for a certain period of time the glycerol attracts and retains a greater flow of water throughout the body (until its physiological metabolization), as if it were a "pump", increasing effectively its overall volume. In this way, the body not only retains more water, resulting in "overhydration", but will also use fluids more efficiently in terms of thermoregulation, promoting hydration of the muscles during physical effort.
